HSH Princess Charlene’s Tiara by Lorenz Baumer
Thanks to the “Jewellery Editor” some fabulous images have arrived on the net of HSH Princess Charlene’s tiara, designed by Lorenz Baumer. He conceived a jewel that was to reflect Princess Charlene’s love for the ocean waters; with diamond water drops splashing across her hair. The variety of diamond cuts used to execute this piece intended to represent the different water ripples moving, reflecting light unevenly yet with dynamic. Out of the eleven pear shaped drops, the biggest is a little over 8 carats…
Traditionally, the Grimaldi’s do not wear tiaras, but it is custom that once the vows and rings are exchanged, Charlene is officially recognised as a Royal and is entitled to wear a tiara. Her choice was a rather tactful one for the galas following the bridal ceremony. This diamond piece brushes over one side of her hair, more like a diamond spray head-band rather than the traditional stand-alone tiara. The piece also interestingly, can be adapted and worn as a shoulder piece or placed as a single or double clip.

When I originally commented I seem to have clicked the -Notify me when new comments are added- checkbox and now each time a comment is added I get 4 emails with the exact same comment.
